In 2019, at 20 years old, Juan Pablo Ortiz Jr. started M&J Solar Screens with nothing but a work ethic, a backyard, and his sister by his side. The name says it all — M&J stands for Marissa and JP. While Marissa was putting herself through college, she handled scheduling and appointments. JP handled everything else — cutting frames, screening by hand, and doing every installation himself.
What began in a backyard has since grown into a fully operational commercial shop with over 400 completed projects across Texas. M&J became a name customers knew and trusted — and some names you just don't change.
